Joyce’s Seafood is owned and operated by Joyce Gilbreth. It was her lifelong dream to open a restaurant in her retirement years and with the help of master chefs Francisco Ruiz and Luis Pasquera, her dream has become reality. Joyce’s Seafood has been open in Houston, Texas since 1997 Monday through Friday from 11am- 10pm and Saturdays from noon to 10pm.Many people love to come to this restaurant while in Huston, just to eat some of Francisco’s famous gulf seafood dishes. Not only can you get traditional seafood such as fillets, soups, salads and pastas, but steaks, po’boys and shellfish are also available. You can eat, rest assured, the freshest fish in the area since most all of it comes directly out of the gulf bay. This gives you the best fish all the time. Each day, a special is also given depending on the fish that is brought into the restaurant.As many would think, this restaurant is also tastefully decorated with an ocean/ fishing theme. There are plaqued fish hanging over the doorways and the walls are painted a lovely blue, reminiscent of the tropical ocean waters. All the tables and chairs are made of wood as to remind you of a boat.

Rainbow Lodge in Houston Texas
Rainbow lodge is located at 2011 Ella Blvd. at East TC Jester inside Loop 610 in Houston Texas. The owner of the Rainbow lodge is Donnette Hansen. The restaurant is a 100 year old log cabin and features three fireplaces, four private dining rooms, a casual fun bar, decks and patios. It also has its own kitchen garden and a citrus grove. They buy from local farmers and ranchers so they always have the freshest ingredients available.
Mondays they are available for private parties only otherwise they are closed. Business hours on Tuesday through Friday are 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. for lunch and dinner, Saturday 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. for dinner and Sunday 10:30 to 9:00 p.m. for brunch and dinner. They also offer off premise catering. Reservations are recommended for groups of ten people or more.
Salads, sandwiches and gumbo are some of the lunch menu items but many other things are offered. They serve wild game dishes that include venison, wild boar, smoked duck and lamb. The dinner menu offers dishes such as lump crab cakes with bacon and fried Texas quail on pumpkin waffle and a wide variety of entrée salads. For Sunday brunch you have your choice of salads, gumbo and sandwiches and mimosas and champagne are just 99 cents until 3 p.m. and half price wines by the glass starting at 5 p.m. The dessert menu consists of items like Mexican chocolate chip ice cream and strawberry and blueberry shortcake with sweet cream biscuits.
