· Sunday 12 p.m. – 9 p.m.

In Dallas, the opening and closing times are the same as at Houston except for Sunday: 5 p.m. – 11 p.m.

Christie’s is a “seafood & steak” restaurant located in Houston. It opens at 11 in the morning every day of the week and serves lunch from that time until 3 Monday thru Friday. The restaurant is housed in an attractive white one- story building with a tower on top.The history of the restaurant dates back to 1939, when it was founded by a Turkish immigrant named Theodore Christie, who had experience in running small food businesses going back further twenty years. His descendants still own the place.Christie’s menu includes the famous shrimp that are caught in the Gulf of Mexico. Recipes include shrimp creole; alfredo; cancun; and fried shrimp with onion rings (yummy!), a salad, and either a baked potato, French fries, or vegetables. Other seafoods include fried shrimp with fried snapper fillets and catfish; Alaskan king crab; Canadian sea scallops; and Mississippi catfish fillets. They have the category “A Taste of Louisiana,” which includes crawfish étouffée with salad and “dirty” rice, and blackened salmon with Cajun cream sauce. “Specialties of the House:” Christie’s Pride is a flounder fillet topped with the restaurant’s own wine; and then there is “Beluche,” mushroom and onion- tossed snapper. Capt_BennysCaptain Bennys is a great place to go if you are looking for seafood. They open at 11am from Monday through Saturday and they open at 12 noon on Sundays. This restaurant closes at 10pm from Sunday through Thursday and they close at 11pm on Friday and Saturday. It is owned by Captain Benny and he wants to give you the best oysters and seafood that is available to man. Almost every type of seafood is available in this location. This includes shrimp, oyster, fish crab and calamari. Jumbo shrimp and fried cat fillet can be added to almost any platter for a low price. It is possible to eat in the restaurant or to order food to go which will be delicious also. The restaurant is located in Houston, TX and the surrounding areas.
